Emergency Response

Despite the best preparation, inevitably emergencies arise. QGE is poised to respond quickly, especially in emergency situations.

2007 Firestorm – tragically, much of San Diego was engulfed in wildfires that ultimately claimed thousands of homes and businesses. Soon after the fires were contained, QGE was called on by local utility SDG&E to begin repair work to affected areas. QGE worked 14- to 16-hour days, 7 days a week for 6 weeks to remove damaged electric poles and replace with new poles, dig holes, perform erosion control and more.
